RQ 200 is an undoped quartz glass which is besides others, especially designed for the production of high quality light sources . due to its transformation and softening temperatures and thermal conductivity figures comparable with GE 214.
RQ 200 is stable against thermal permanent loads of app. 1.000° C, provided the surface is free of impurities, such as e.g. finger sweat. Any impurities to be wiped off with an alcohol-impregnated cloth (or spirit). In case of impurity, the surface will divitrify which leads to a haze of the surface and a decrease of the mechanical stability. RQ 200 is not separate-doped and consequently has no UV-control.
